Humidity in closets
Closed closets with little air movement are where Houston humidity shows up as musty smells and mildew on leather and stored clothes. We use moisture-resistant materials, leave room for air to move and, in larger walk-in closets, make sure the room gets conditioned air.
Older homes with small closets
Many Houston homes built in the 1950s to 1970s have small closets by today’s standards. Reworking the layout, or borrowing space from a hall closet or a small adjoining room, can make a big difference without an addition.

Can you make my existing closet bigger?
Often, yes. We can take space from an adjoining closet, hallway or small room, as long as the wall is not load-bearing or we plan for it properly.
What goes into a good mudroom?
A bench to sit on, a place for each person’s shoes and bags, hooks for coats and backpacks, and a floor that handles wet shoes. We design it around your family.
Can a mudroom go in the garage?
Yes. When there is no room inside, we can build a mudroom area in the garage next to the house door.
Do you build other built-ins?
Yes: pantry storage, bookshelves, media walls and window seats.
