Fireplaces in Houston homes

Houston winters are short, so many homeowners would rather have a beautiful wall than a working wood-burning fireplace. A linear electric fireplace gives you the look and some heat with no chimney, no smoke and no gas line, and it works well in a media wall with the TV above it.
Gas fireplaces
Many Houston homes already have a gas line to the fireplace. Gas logs and inserts are convenient, but any gas work is done by licensed plumbers and has to be done correctly. We coordinate it as part of the remodel.
Heat and clearances
Materials near a fireplace opening have to handle heat, and a TV mounted above a working fireplace can get too hot. We follow the manufacturer clearances for the fireplace you have or choose.

Can you cover old brick without tearing it out?
Often, yes. Brick can usually be covered with stone veneer, tile or a plaster finish once it is prepared properly.
Can a wood-burning fireplace become an electric one?
Yes. We can install a linear electric fireplace into the existing opening or into a new feature wall. Our licensed electrician adds the circuit.
Can you mount the TV above the fireplace?
Yes, with the right clearance and heat considerations for your fireplace. We also hide the wiring inside the wall.
Do you build the cabinets and shelves on the sides?
Yes. Built-ins on either side are one of the most popular parts of a fireplace remodel.
